On Saturday 11 November, Armistice Day, we organised the very first edition of Art & Frame.

We invited young people to Villa Bota, to create art together while learning about the situation in the Middle East. We provided painting, drawing and writing materials, and invited experts to explain the history of Palestine and Israel, and the role played by the media.

This was followed by a panel discussion with participants with Israeli and Palestinian roots. There were around 40 young people, including a whole group from Komerbi, an organisation for socially vulnerable young people who want to develop and use their abilities. They had a chance to express their questions and doubts, and afterwards we all ate a delicious meal together. A conversation that was both necessary and artful, so totally in the spirit of ‘the art of Conversation’.
