Already back in 1995, the Guerrilla Girls protested about the under-representation of women and people of colour in art museums. Poignantly summed up on a banner as: White Balls on Walls. Only almost 30 years later, in Sarah Vos' documentary of the same name, we get to see how the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, led by Rein Wolfs, is trying to take steps towards becoming a more inclusive cultural institution.

After the screening of the documentary ‘White Balls on Walls’ on 28 January 2024, a panel talk was organised in which host Dominique Nzeyimana discussed diversity in museums and the cultural sector with Bruges 2030 project coordinator Dalilla Hermans, Nadia Nsayi, Magali Elali and Ciska Debacker.
