DAY OF HAPPINESS

Together with Kapitein Werkgeluk, an organisation that strives for teachers’ happiness in the workplace, we repurposed the large tarpaulin from our lauch and attemped to collect as much happiness as possible.

Secondary schools, teachers, principals and passers-by were invited to the Stationsplein (at the train station) to write down their idea of happiness in colour. The action received great interest, brought schools, classes and people of Bruges together: an affirmation that happiness is a universal need that connects us all.

The sail is dedicated to education, as a powerful symbol because happiness in the workplace deserves more attention. Moreover, by doing so, we want to draw attention to the shortage of teachers and the high percentage of new, young teachers who quit the profession.
