WARME WENSEN

In early November 2023, we were already looking ahead to the holidays. Bruges was host city for the initiative De Warmste Week (The Warmest Week), an annual campaign by Belgian radio stations in which money is raised around a specific theme.In 2023, this theme was ‘Growing up without worries’.

To be able to send as much warmth to as many people as possible, we asked people to leave warm wishes for unknown fellow humans via our website. We collaborated with the organisation Vierkant Tegen Eenzaamheid (Square Against Loneliness) for this project. From hundreds of submissions by people from Bruges, we chose the thirty most beautiful wishes. We printed these on posters and distributed them throughout the city centre and the boroughs. People could pick up the posters free of charge at various locations and hang them in their windows.
